Starting 2018 off the right way, with new music announcements and releases! We’ve got new singles, new collaborations and new promises from some of the hottest names in country.
Dan + Shay
It’s about damn time for some new Dan + Shay. The vocal duo teased their new music by posting Continue reading “New Year, New Music”
Starting the new year off right with some new music from Brothers Osborne! Many of us fans over in the UK were lucky enough to hear the new single, “Shoot Me Straight” before it’s official release when they performed it on tour with The Cadillac Three in November. It was obvious then it would be an instant hit and so exciting that new Brothers Osborne music is here so soon!
“Shoot Me Straight” is an impressive 7 minutes of everything we’ve hoped for and more. Don’t be put off by the length, every second is country gold. The single is true to their rough around the edges, outlaw sound and reminiscent of their third single “Stay A Little Longer”, with more grit and a better guitar solo. Half of the single showcases TJ’s deep vocals and the other half is pure unapologetic guitar.
The new single is available to download and stream on Friday, January 5th.
Another Friday, more amazing music releases. This week has been big for new music!
Maren Morris featuring Vince Gill – ‘Dear Hate’
A beautiful track Morris released to raise money for the Last Vegas victims and their families. The track addresses hate and many of it’s actions over the years, before fighting back with the uplifting message that ‘love’s gonna conquer all’.
Luke Bryan – ‘What Makes You Country’
Arguably the best Luke Bryan track yet. It preaches a sentiment I have been living for so long as a UK country fan who loves all styles of country. Falling in love with songs like this is exactly what makes me country. Continue reading “New Music Round-Up”
Thomas Rhett announced some big album news today! Following the success of first single (and blog title inspo), ‘Craving You’ featuring Maren Morris, Rhett has shared the title, release date and track listing for his new album Life Changes.

In her feature in the next issue of Billboard Magazine, Miley Cyrus has announced that she will be releasing new music next week, May 11th. This is the perfect time for Miley to make her mark in country as the genre needs more honest female perspectives.
Cyrus is pictured on the cover of the magazine, looking a far cry from her previous endeavours, but beautiful as ever, along with a caption describing her new venture as becoming a, “countrified singer-songwriter”. Her new single, titled ‘Malibu’ has been described as a, “gimmick-free…breezy love song”. Continue reading “Miley Cyrus To Release New “Countrified” Music”
Brad Paisley’s done it again! First came the touching music video for “Today”, the first single off new album Love and War, followed by a hilarious equivalent for the brilliant, “selfie#theinternetisforever”. Now, he has shared a similar video for new single, “Last Time For Everything”, this time in eighties throwback home-video style, with a title screen straight out of Stranger Things and David Hasselhoff reprising his role as Michael Knight from eighties classic Knight Rider. Continue reading “Brad Paisley’s Eighties Inspired Video”
Zac Brown Band have released another single from their upcoming album Welcome Home, along with a lyric video. I love “My Old Man” and “Real Thing” but I think “Family Table” might be my favourite of the new album so far. The song is an ode to a piece of furniture, as well as a heartfelt metaphor for the comfort of family. The lyrics echo this sentiment as ZBB sing, “it’s the cornerstone that held us all up”. Continue reading “Family Table Review”
Willie Nelson has revealed his tribute to friend Merle Haggard on the anniversary of his death. The new song will feature on his upcoming album God’s Problem Child.
Haggard passed away on April 6th 2016 – his 79th birthday. A year on, country stars came together in Nashville for a tribute concert, ‘Sing Me Back Home: The Music of Merle Haggard’. There were performances from artists such as Miranda Lambert, Dierks Bentley, Jake Owen, Kacey Musgraves to name a few, to show appreciation of Haggards contribution to the world of country music, as Nelson sings ‘it wouldn’t be all it was without Merle‘.
