Yesterday, Kacey Musgraves became Mrs Kelly 10 months after Ruston Kelly proposed on Christmas Eve. The couple both took to social media yesterday confirming it was their big day with Kelly saying he’d ‘finally found the real thing’. Too sweet!!!
While we’re impatiently respectfully waiting for wedding dress pictures – who isn’t dying to see what Musgraves chose – there have been a few snaps shared. Songwriter and good friend of the happy couple, Shane McAnally posted adorable pictures of his sweet babies at the wedding with his son as a ring bearer and daughter, a ‘glitter girl’. Woke up to the best news this morning, during the first of his two sold out shows in Nashville this weekend, Stapleton shared the exciting news that From A Room: Volume 2 would be released on December 1st. For someone still playing Volume 1 on repeat, and choosing a new favourite every week this is HUGE news, I had no idea it would be so soon.
Let’s hope there will be a few pre-release tracks before December 1st, as I can barely wait.
The line up for C2C 2018 has been announced on stage at the Shepherds Bush Empire tonight by Whispering Bob Harris.
Headlining across the 3 days are Kacey Musgraves, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill and Little Big Town. Kelsey Ballerini, Luke Combs, Kip Moore, Midland and Margo Price are also set to perform on the main stage at some point Friday-Sunday. There have been very mixed reactions following this announcement, with many saying Kacey Musgraves isn’t headline material and that Little Big Town performed a few years ago and therefore shouldn’t appear again. Okay so here’s my take on it… Continue reading “Why The C2C Line Up Is Nearly Perfection”
Another Friday, more amazing music releases. This week has been big for new music!
Maren Morris featuring Vince Gill – ‘Dear Hate’
A beautiful track Morris released to raise money for the Last Vegas victims and their families. The track addresses hate and many of it’s actions over the years, before fighting back with the uplifting message that ‘love’s gonna conquer all’.
Luke Bryan – ‘What Makes You Country’
Arguably the best Luke Bryan track yet. It preaches a sentiment I have been living for so long as a UK country fan who loves all styles of country. Falling in love with songs like this is exactly what makes me country. Continue reading “New Music Round-Up”
Yesterday, Friday 8th September, marks a sad day for country music fans and artists alike as we said goodbye to the gentle giant, Don Williams and half of Montgomery Gentry, Troy Gentry.
Williams died Friday morning following a short illness, while Gentry passed away as a result of a helicopter crash en route to show in Medford, New Jersey.
Country artists reacted to this news on social media with tributes and solidarity. Some saw Williams and Gentry as Continue reading “Country Reacts to the Loss of Two Greats”

Country Music Week begins Monday October 2nd but the opening act is yet to be announced. The week is made to show off artists are having a big impact on today’s country music scene. Country Music Week is exciting for UK country fans as it shows that country is growing here as more artists are coming over to perform for English crowds. It makes the wait until C2C seem slightly easier!
While we know that the week takes place over 2nd-8th October 2017, we do not yet have a complete line up.
