The amazing Zac Brown Band and Grammy-nominated Beth Hart have been announced for this years BluesFest at The O2 in London. BluesFest runs for four days from 25th to 28th October. Artists announced so far include John Fogerty, The Steve Miller Band, Robert Plant and Van Morrison to name a few.
This will be the first time that Zac Brown Band have played BluesFest, the last time we saw them in London was C2C 2017 and since then, they’ve released Welcome Home, which peaked at #1 on Billboard’s Top Country Album chart. They’re a band who have dabbled in many different styles of music, blues, rock, country, meaning they’ll fit perfectly into the BluesFest line-up. Californian singer-songwriter Beth Hart performed at the festival in 2014, and following a stellar performance is returning in October. Her latest album Black Coffee a collaboration with Blues rocker Joe Bonamassa, peaked at #1 on the Billboard Top Blues Album chart.
Zac Brown Band will play the festival on Saturday 27th along with Beth Hart. BluesFest Director Leo Green said of this news:
“We’ve been coveting Zac Brown Band since we started BluesFest back in 2011 and so we’re delighted to be adding them to the bill for this year’s event. And we’ve booked some incredible acts for BluesFest over the years but Beth Hart’s performance in 2014 stands out for me as one of the genuine highlights. She is a special talent and to have her as a special guest for Zac Brown Band on the Saturday night of this year’s festival is real coup for us.”
BluesFest started in 2011 and has since seen performances from a variety of stars across different genres, such as BB King, Elvis Costello, Gregory Porter, Mary J. Blige, Ronnie Wood, Chaka Khan and Jamie Cullum. This year’s addition of ZBB and Beth Hunt adds to the legacy of this festival, now one of Europe’s leading roots music festivals.
They join the likes of already announced acts: Creedance Clearwater Revival’s John Fogerty and special guest The Steve Miller Band, performing on Thursday 25th and Robert Plant and the Sensational Space Shifters with special guest Van Morrison on Friday 26th. As well as appearances on the Indigo at the O2 stage by Raphael Saadiq, Robert Cray and Don Bryant.
