Another Friday, more amazing music releases. This week has been big for new music!
Maren Morris featuring Vince Gill – ‘Dear Hate’
A beautiful track Morris released to raise money for the Last Vegas victims and their families. The track addresses hate and many of it’s actions over the years, before fighting back with the uplifting message that ‘love’s gonna conquer all’.
Luke Bryan – ‘What Makes You Country’
Arguably the best Luke Bryan track yet. It preaches a sentiment I have been living for so long as a UK country fan who loves all styles of country. Falling in love with songs like this is exactly what makes me country.
Brett Young – ‘Hell Yeah, Damn Right’
A tribute to Young’s Alma Mater Ole Miss, quite different from the Brett a Young we’ve been used to hearing recently, but just as good.
Darius Rucker – ‘Twenty Something’
Darius Rucker is drip-feeding us new songs up until the release of his album on October 20th and nobody is complaining! This ones a sad truth about growing older, Rucker does sorrow so well.
Carly Pearce – ‘Hide The Wine’
Carly Pearce is smashing it at the moment, each song is better than the last and this ones no exception. A week away from album release, can’t wait!
Tim McGraw and Faith Hill – ‘The Rest Of Our Life’
The title track of the couple’s upcoming duet album showcases beautiful harmonies and emotional, personal lyrics. This and ‘Speak To A Girl’, it certainly bodes well for the album, not that we needed the reassurance.
Hunter Hayes featuring The Shadowboxers – ‘You Should Be Loved’
Different to many other tracks by Hayes, ‘You Should Be Loved’ has a soulful pop country feel. The collaboration with The Shadowboxers is perfect for the doo-wop style which fits Hayes voice so well. Great to have new Hayes music following his C2C 2017 appearance in which he discussed his difficulties in putting new music out.
